Sanctity of human life

📘 READING

"So Elohim created man in His own image, in the image of Elohim created He him; male and female created He them."
- Bereshit (Genesis) 1:27

🟫 MITZVOT FOCUS

Today we focus on the inherent value of every human being as an image-bearer of the Creator. The Torah teaches that human life is not an accident of nature but a deliberate act of Divine creation. This mitzvah requires us to treat every person - regardless of status, age, or ability - with the highest level of respect and protection.

To devalue a human life is to devalue the One who created it.

🩵 REFLECTION

The sanctity of life is the foundation of all righteous justice. As we prepare for the season of our redemption, we are reminded that YHVH went to great lengths to preserve the lives of His people in Mitsrayim. He did not merely save a nation; He saved individuals created in His image. When we recognize the sanctity of life, we move from a mindset of competition and survival to one of stewardship and mercy. Every breath is a gift from the Father.

Let us walk today with a deep awareness of the weight of glory carried by those around us, and let our actions reflect our commitment to preserving the life He has so graciously given.

👐 PRAYER

Abba YHVH, we thank You for the breath of life and for the honor of being created in Your Image. Grant us eyes to see the value You place on every person we encounter today. Help us to be defenders of life and agents of Your peace. Remove any hardness from our hearts that would cause us to overlook the dignity of our neighbors. May our lives be a living testimony to Your goodness and Your creative power.

Baruch YHVH.

Aaronitic Blessing

Shalom until tomorrow.

🍞 PRELIMINARY EREV PESACH NOTICE

Tomorrow, Erev Shabbat, is Erev Pesach. We remind the Mitspacha to use this day to complete the clearing of all physical leaven (chametz) from your houses. More importantly, let us clear the spiritual leaven from our hearts by repenting of all sins, both known and unknown. Ensure that all preparations for the Pesach are completed today so that we may enter the appointment of our redemption with clean hands and pure hearts.
