Shalom, Mishpacha!
Pesach Day 2 β Continuing in Unleavened Life / Trusting YHVH for Daily Provision
Blessed are You, YHVH our Elohim, King of the universe, who has brought us into this second day of Unleavened Bread and into another day of Your provision. Thank You for sustaining us through the night and for leading us step by step in the journey You have set before us. Help us to continue removing what does not belong and to trust You daily as we walk in obedience.
Baruch YHVH.
βSeven days you shall eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall remove leaven from your houses.β
- Shemot (Exodus) 12:15
βAnd the children of Yisrael ate manna forty years, until they came to an inhabited land.β
- Shemot (Exodus) 16:35
The second day of Pesach reminds us that deliverance was only the beginning. Leaving Mitsrayim happened in a single night, but learning to live in freedom takes time. Each day of Unleavened Bread calls us to continue the work that began when the first leaven was removed.
Just as Yisrael stepped into the wilderness after leaving Mitsrayim, they had to learn to depend on YHVH for daily provision. The systems of the past were left behind, and each new day became a lesson in trust. In the wilderness, bread did not come from stored supply, but from the hand of YHVH, given at the right time.
In the same way, this second day invites us to continue both cleansing and trusting. We remove what does not belong while learning to rely on the provision that comes day by day. Freedom is not only about leaving the past β it is about becoming a people shaped by obedience and faith.
This day also reminds us of the quiet waiting during this appointed time, when Yahusha rested in the grave. Just as the earth held Him in stillness, so we are reminded that transformation often begins in quiet trust. What begins in stillness is prepared for future fulfillment.
Let this Double Shabbat be a day of steady commitment. Continue the journey begun on the first day. Walk forward with patience and humility, trusting that the work of cleansing and renewal is shaped day by day as we remain faithful.
Today marks the second day of counting the Omer, continuing the journey that began when Yisrael left Mitsrayim. The first step has already been taken β deliverance has come β and now the journey moves forward into the wilderness.
We remember the beginning of this journey on the first day of the Omer, when the people departed from Mitsrayim. Now, on this second day, we take the next steps into unknown places, learning to trust the One who leads both by day and by night.
The wilderness is not empty β it is a place of learning. Here, dependence grows, trust deepens, and hearts are shaped for what lies ahead. Each step away from Mitsrayim is also a step closer to Sinai, where covenant and purpose await.
Let this second count remind us that the journey has begun and continues today. We do not return to what was left behind, but move forward with purpose. The path may be new, but the One who leads is faithful.
May this Double Shabbat strengthen our hearts as we continue walking in sincerity and truth. Help us, YHVH, to remove what does not belong and to trust in Your daily provision. Guide us step by step through this wilderness journey, and prepare us for the fullness of what You have promised.
Baruch YHVH.
Shabbat Shalom and Chag Pesach Sameach. πΏπΎ
