Prohibition of Removing Boundary Markers
“You shall not remove your neighbour's boundary marker, which the men of old have set, in your inheritance which you inherit in the land that YHVH your Elohim is giving you to possess.”

“Do not move the ancient boundary which your fathers have set.”

“Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.”
- Qorintiyim Aleph (1 Corinthians) 10:12
YHVH commanded that the ancient boundary markers were never to be moved. These markers protected each family's inheritance, prevented theft and preserved justice within the community. Secretly shifting a boundary stone was an act of deception that violated both a neighbour's rights and YHVH's established order.
This mitzvah reminds us that YHVH values honesty, integrity and respect for the boundaries He has established. Whether physical, moral or spiritual, His boundaries exist for our protection and for the wellbeing of His people.
The world often encourages people to blur moral boundaries whenever it seems advantageous. YHVH, however, calls us to honour the limits He has established and to deal honestly with others in every circumstance.
May we resist every temptation to gain advantage through compromise or deception. As we respect the boundaries established by YHVH and walk with integrity, our lives become a testimony of His righteousness and faithfulness.
Heavenly Father, YHVH, thank You for establishing boundaries that protect justice, truth and peace. Help us to respect both the physical and spiritual boundaries You have given. Guard us from dishonesty, greed and compromise, and strengthen us to walk with integrity in every area of life. May our conduct always honour You and reflect the righteousness of Your Kingdom.
