Shalom, Mitspacha!
The astronomical new moon occurred yesterday at approximately 02h53 UTC. Current visibility projections indicate that the renewed moon should be visible across much of the world, including Yisra’ĕl. There is therefore a strong possibility that tomorrow may be declared Revi'i 1, depending upon confirmed observational reports.
We continue to monitor reports from the Renewed Moon website together with local Muslim moon watch confirmations before final determination.
Obligation to obey court rulings
“And you shall do according to the sentence which they declare to you from that place which YHVH chooses, and you shall guard to do according to all that they instruct you.”
- Deḇariem (Deuteronomy) 17:10
“Every being should be in subjection to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from Elohim.”
- Romiyim (Romans) 13:1
YHVH established systems of judgment and authority to preserve justice, order, and stability among the people. Scripture teaches that lawful rulings and righteous judgments should be respected and obeyed when they align with truth and righteousness. Rebellion against proper authority often produces confusion, division, and disorder within communities.
The responsibility of leaders and judges is serious because their decisions affect many lives. At the same time, the people are called to respond with respect, discipline, and obedience rather than constant strife and resistance. Righteous authority functions best when both leaders and people walk in accountability before YHVH.
Modern society often encourages distrust, mockery, and rejection of authority. While corrupt leadership must never be blindly followed, Scripture still teaches the importance of respecting lawful order and acting responsibly within society.
Consider whether your own attitudes toward authority reflect wisdom, humility, and discernment. Obedience to righteous instruction strengthens stability, peace, and cooperation within families, communities, and assemblies. Mature discernment recognizes the difference between lawful authority deserving respect and corruption that must be resisted according to the standards of YHVH.
Abba YHVH, thank You for establishing justice, order, and righteous authority among people. Grant wisdom and integrity to leaders, judges, and authorities so that they may govern fairly and truthfully. Teach us to walk in humility, discernment, respect, and obedience where righteousness is upheld. Protect us from rebellion, pride, lawlessness, and confusion. Help us to honor truth while remaining faithful to Your standards above all else.
Baruch YHVH. Emet.
Shalom until tomorrow.
