Justice – Preventing Conflict

📘 READING

"When a man's ways please YHVH, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him."
- Proverbs 16:7

"The beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water: therefore leave off contention, before it be meddled with."
- Proverbs 17:14

"Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour."
- Leviticus 19:15

🟫 MITZVOT FOCUS

The mitzvot instruct us to pursue justice and fairness in our dealings with others. When judgment is righteous and impartial, many conflicts are prevented before they begin. Justice is not only about resolving disputes but about living in a way that avoids unnecessary strife.

By treating others fairly and speaking truthfully, we uphold the order that YHVH desires for His people.

🩵 REFLECTION

Conflict often begins with small misunderstandings or unchecked emotions. The wisdom of Scripture teaches us that it is far better to prevent strife than to try to repair it after it has grown.

When we act with fairness, patience, and humility, we reduce tension and build trust within our communities. Justice guided by compassion preserves peace.

👐 PRAYER

Abba YHVH, guide us to walk in justice and wisdom. Help us to act fairly, to speak truthfully, and to avoid the paths that lead to conflict. Give us discernment so that our actions may bring peace and stability to those around us. May we reflect Your righteousness in all our dealings.

Baruch YHVH.
