Human dignity and freedom

📘 READING

"For they are My servants, which I brought forth out of the land of Mitsrayim: they shall not be sold as bondmen."
- Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 25:42

🟫 MITZVOT FOCUS

Today we focus on the foundational truth that every human being is primarily a servant of YHVH. Because we were redeemed from the house of bondage by His hand, no person has the right to strip another of their inherent dignity or treat them as mere property. This mitzvah guards the status of the individual as a free agent under the Sovereignty of Elohim.

🩵 REFLECTION

Human dignity is not something granted by governments or earned through status; it is a divine endowment. When we recognize the freedom of our neighbor, we are acknowledging the image of the Creator within them.

As we move closer to the season of our deliverance, let us reflect on how we treat those around us. Do we honor their dignity in our speech and our actions? True freedom is found when we release ourselves from the desire to control others and instead submit together to the righteous rule of YHVH.

👐 PRAYER

Abba YHVH, we thank You for the dignity You have bestowed upon us as Your children. Help us to see the value and the freedom of every person we encounter today. Remove any spirit of pride or oppression from our hearts and let our interactions be marked by the respect and honor that Your Truth demands. May we walk as truly free people, serving only You.

Baruch YHVH.
