Shalom, Mishpacha!
Prohibition of moving boundary markers / Ascension Day
"Do not move your neighbor's boundary stone set up by your predecessors in the inheritance you receive."
- Devarim (Deuteronomy) 19:14
"Do not move an ancient boundary stone or encroach on the fields of the fatherless."
- Mishlei (Proverbs) 23:10
"Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things."
- Colossians 3:2
"But you will receive power when the Ruach HaQodesh comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses."
- Acts 1:8
"After He said this, He was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid Him from their sight."
- Acts 1:9
YHVH forbids the moving of boundary markers because boundaries establish justice, inheritance, order, and accountability. To move them dishonestly is to steal, exploit, and corrupt what has been entrusted by Elohim.
Ascension Day reminds us to remain spiritually steadfast, without shifting the boundaries of truth, righteousness, and covenant obedience established by YHVH. His people are called to endure faithfully and remain focused upon His Kingdom.
Are there boundaries in your life that have become compromised - morally, spiritually, or practically?
Today is a reminder that faithfulness requires endurance and stability. We are called to preserve truth, maintain justice, and remain firmly established in the ways of YHVH without compromise or drift.
Today is Day 40 of the Omer. As we continue toward Shavu'ot, we are reminded that endurance, preparation, and faithful expectation are all part of the refining process.
Each day drawing us deeper into spiritual maturity, discipline, and readiness before YHVH.
Today marks the commemoration of Ascension Day during the Omer count. As Yahusha ascended and His disciples waited expectantly for the promise of the Ruach HaQodesh, we too are reminded to remain watchful, faithful, and prepared.
Ascension is not merely about departure, but about commissioning, expectation, and the continued work of the Kingdom until His return.
As Pesach Sheni approaches, continue preparing both spiritually and practically. Let homes remain free from leaven, and let hearts remain free from compromise and bitterness. Continue preparing unleavened bread, spices, and all things necessary for the remembrance and Seder where applicable.
May these preparations also remind us that YHVH always provides opportunity for return, restoration, and renewed obedience.
Avinu Malkeinu, help us to remain faithful within the boundaries You have established. Guard us from compromise, dishonesty, and spiritual drift. Strengthen us to endure faithfully, to walk in truth and justice, and to remain focused upon Your Kingdom. Prepare our hearts for Shavu'ot and Pesach Sheni, and establish within us obedience, readiness, and steadfast faith before You.
Baruch YHVH.
Shalom until tomorrow.
