Responsibility of witnesses
“The witness shall not answer against any being to bear witness against him of a wrongdoing or any sin that he commits. At the mouth of two witnesses or at the mouth of three witnesses a matter is established.”

“He who speaks truth declares righteousness, but a false witness, deceit.”

YHVH places great responsibility upon those who bear witness. Testimony is not merely the sharing of information but a sacred duty that can affect justice, reputation, relationships, and community well-being. A witness must speak truthfully, accurately, and responsibly, ensuring that facts are not distorted by emotion, assumption, prejudice, or personal interest.
The people of YHVH are called to uphold truth and integrity whenever they speak about matters involving others. Honest testimony strengthens justice and protects both the innocent and the integrity of the community.
In daily life, people often act as witnesses without realizing it. Conversations, reports, opinions, and even social media interactions can influence how others are perceived and treated. Scripture reminds us that words carry weight and responsibility. Careless statements, unverified claims, and distorted accounts can cause lasting harm.
A faithful servant of YHVH learns to verify facts, speak carefully, and avoid spreading information that cannot be confirmed. Responsibility in witnessing reflects reverence for truth and respect for both YHVH and fellow human beings.
Abba YHVH, teaches us to walk in truth, wisdom, and integrity. Guard our tongues from careless speech, false assumptions, and unverified reports. Help us to be faithful witnesses who speak honestly and act responsibly in every circumstance. Strengthen our commitment to justice and righteousness so that our words bring truth, peace, and honor to Your Name.
